Quotes that don't compare
One agency prices a rebuild at a few thousand dollars and another at several times that, and the scopes aren't the same. Our blueprint writes the scope down and ends in one number.
Shopify developer
Ojastra is a Shopify developer and ecommerce engineering team for stores that have outgrown themes and off-the-shelf apps. We build custom Shopify apps, sync your store with your ERP, inventory and POS, rework checkout and rebuild stores that have turned into patchwork, all at a fixed price.
We work with store owners across Canada and the US by video from Toronto, with a link to the work in progress every week. Our own platform, pickup.kitchen, includes a Shopify POS integration, so this work is familiar ground.
Fixed price. You own the code. A working demo every week.

A great pitch, then no preview for weeks. You get a working link to your store in progress every week, so there's nothing to take on trust.
A dozen apps slow the site, overlap each other, and nobody can say which are safe to remove. We audit what's installed, remove what overlaps and build custom only where it saves you money.
Shopify says one thing, the warehouse or ERP says another, and someone reconciles by hand every night.
Features no app-store product offers: custom pricing rules, wholesale portals, bundles, order workflows and internal admin screens.
Stock, orders, customers and invoices moving between Shopify and your ERP, warehouse or accounting software.
In-store and online sales kept in step. We've built a Shopify POS integration into our own platform.
Delivery rules, pickup slots, custom fields and payment logic. What's possible depends on your Shopify plan, and we check before we price.
A tidy theme, fewer apps, faster pages and a structure your team can maintain.
Orders, returns and customer messages routed to the right people automatically, and reports your team doesn't have to export by hand.
A Shopify project starts by looking at what's already there: the theme, the installed apps, the integrations and who holds admin access. We then write down what changes, what stays and what each piece costs. Admin access, API credentials and the code repository stay in your company's name.
Our proof is pickup.kitchen, our ordering and meal-plan platform for food businesses. It is a live system with Stripe payments, live order tracking and a Shopify POS integration, so we have worked on the questions every store hits: how orders from different places end up in one system, and how to keep payments, stock and records in agreement.
Not every Shopify problem needs custom work. If a well-chosen app does the job for a few dollars a month, we'll say so. We recommend building when no app can do it, when several apps are doing one job badly, or when the monthly app bills add up to more than a one-time build.
Fixed prices in Canadian dollars. The blueprint fee is credited in full when you go ahead with the build.

A working link to click every week. Milestone payments, no hourly surprises. Scope changes are priced in writing before we build them.

A Shopify custom app, integration or store rebuild is typically $5K–$30K CAD, and a single sync between two tools, such as Shopify and your accounting software, is usually $5K–$12K. The $1,500 blueprint fixes the price and is credited to the build.
Three to eight weeks for a custom app, integration or rebuild, depending on how many systems it touches. A working link to your store in progress is yours from the first week or two.
Yes. We build custom apps for your own store, such as wholesale pricing, order workflows and syncs with your ERP. If you plan to sell an app to other merchants, say so up front and we'll scope it as a product build.
Yes. We sync stock, orders, customers and invoices between Shopify and your ERP, warehouse or accounting tool. Where the other system is old and has no API, the blueprint confirms a route, such as scheduled files, before we quote.
A small senior team that builds what you need and hands it over suits most stores doing custom work. Large agencies make sense for big brand and design programs. We handle the technical side and leave brand design to your design partner.
You do. Your Shopify admin, apps, API keys and code repository stay in your company's name. We work as collaborators and are removed when you decide.
Yes. We work with merchants across Canada and the US by video, and we quote in Canadian dollars.
