IT consulting company

An IT consulting company that takes you from plan to a working build

Ojastra is an IT consulting company for owners who need to know what technology to build, buy or connect next, and then want it done. We advise on software, integrations and AI, and we build what we recommend for a fixed price. We don't manage networks, laptops or help desks.

We work with businesses across Canada and the US by video from Toronto. Start with a free written plan within 48 hours: the approach, a price range and a timeline for the problem you describe.

Fixed price. You own the code. A working demo every week.

When businesses look for an IT consultant

Too many tools and no map

Subscriptions have piled up over the years, nobody knows which ones overlap, and data gets retyped between them.

A report and nothing built

Advice on a slide deck doesn't change Tuesday morning. Ours ends in a plan with prices against each item, and we can build it.

A transformation that is really one huge project

Eighteen-month roadmaps are hard to fund and easy to abandon. We fix the most expensive problem first and let what we learn shape the next step.

Not knowing what a fair price is

Quotes from different vendors don't line up, and you can't judge the gap. A blueprint gives you a fixed price for a scope you've read in writing.

What our IT consulting services cover

Technology audit

We list the tools, accounts, integrations and spreadsheets the business runs on and mark what is duplicated, fragile or costing you time.

Software and integration roadmap

A short, prioritized list of what to fix first, with a price and a timeline beside each item.

Software consulting: build, buy or connect

For each need we say whether to buy, configure, connect or build, even when the answer is not to build.

Digital transformation, one workflow at a time

Orders, quoting, booking, onboarding or reporting moved off paper and spreadsheets in fixed-price steps.

Delivery of what we recommend

The engineers who write the plan build it: custom software, integrations, AI automation, web and mobile apps.

Rescues of stalled or inherited systems

An audit of the code, hosting and accounts, then a fixed price to fix, finish or rebuild.

What we do, and what we don't

'IT consulting' covers a lot of ground, so here is where we sit. We are a software and technology consultancy: we design, build and connect business software and AI. We don't run your office network, manage devices, administer email accounts or staff a help desk. If you need managed IT, a managed service provider is the right call, and we can work alongside one.

A typical engagement has three steps. First, the free written plan. Second, a one-week blueprint at $1,500 that audits the workflow and tools involved and ends in a fixed quote, credited to the build. Third, a fixed-price build with a working demo every week.

For Canadian businesses, advice on technology spending can include funding. BDC's LIFT program finances AI and digital adoption for companies with $1M or more in revenue and starts with a BDC advisory plan, and genuinely new technical work may qualify for SR&ED or NRC IRAP support. BDC, NRC or your accountant confirms eligibility, not us.

What it costs

Fixed prices in Canadian dollars. The blueprint fee is credited in full when you go ahead with the build.

Questions owners ask us

What does an IT consulting company do?

We look at how your business runs on technology, then recommend what to fix, buy or build, with prices. Our focus is software and AI: integrations, automation, internal tools and apps. The written plan costs nothing and arrives within 48 hours.

How much do IT consulting services cost?

The written plan is free, and the blueprint is $1,500, credited in full to the build. Builds are then fixed-price: one automation or integration is typically $5K–$12K CAD, and an internal tool that replaces spreadsheets $12K–$40K.

Do you provide managed IT or help desk support?

No. We don't manage devices, networks or email accounts. We build the software and look after what we build, with a care plan from $500 a month for hosting, monitoring, fixes and small changes.

What is digital transformation consulting in practice?

Replacing paper, spreadsheets and retyping with software, one workflow at a time. We rank the workflows by cost and pain, fix the first one for a fixed price, typically within two to ten weeks, and plan the next with what we learned.

Can an IT consultant help us decide between buying and building?

Yes, and it is often the most useful part. If a $50-a-month tool does the job, we'll say buy it. We recommend building when you're paying for several tools, retyping data between them or bending your process around software that doesn't fit.

How long does an IT consulting engagement take?

The plan arrives within 48 hours and the blueprint takes about a week. Builds then run two to four weeks for an automation and four to ten for an internal tool, with a working demo every week.

Do you work with companies outside Canada?

Yes. We run weekly demos by video for clients across Canada and the US, with the same fixed prices and the same written plan up front.
