Scope that grows until the money's gone
Every 'quick addition' adds weeks. We write the version-one scope down, price it, and keep a short list of what waits for version two.
MVP development company
Ojastra is an MVP development company for founders who have funding and need the first real version of their product: a working app with sign-in, payments and an admin area, not a prototype. We agree the scope in writing, build it for a fixed price and hand you the code.
We work remotely with founders across Canada and the US from our Toronto base. You see a working build every week, and the code is built to carry real users and keep growing past version one.
Fixed price. You own the code. A working demo every week.
Every 'quick addition' adds weeks. We write the version-one scope down, price it, and keep a short list of what waits for version two.
Fast builds with no tests, one environment and secrets sitting in the code reach a demo and stall at the first real customer. We build the foundations in from the start.
We're a build partner, not a cofounder: you pay a fixed price, you keep all your equity and you own the code and the IP.
The team ships and disappears, leaving no documentation and no way to hire anyone else. Our handoff includes the repository, the documentation and access to every account.
Accounts, subscriptions, dashboards and admin tools for software you'll sell by subscription.
One codebase for both phones where it fits, with push notifications, sign-in and payments.
Two-sided products: listings, payments, bookings and messaging between buyers and sellers.
Apps where AI does the core job, such as scoring an upload and suggesting fixes, with the limits and paid-plan logic built around it.
Stripe checkout, plans, trials and invoices set up correctly the first time.
Tests, separate staging and production environments and documentation, so the next developer can add features without a rewrite.
An MVP is the smallest product a real customer would pay for: one core job done well, not a feature list. The blueprint, one week at $1,500 and credited to the build, decides what version one contains and what it leaves out, and it ends in a fixed price and a schedule. An MVP typically runs $25K–$75K CAD over eight to fourteen weeks.
Our own Naina app is an example of the shape: a user uploads screenshots, gets a score and a list of fixes, signs in by email and buys a paid pass. It is a real product with sign-in and payments behind it, kept to the one job it does.
We're honest about fit. If you don't have the budget yet, a clickable prototype or a no-code test is often the smarter first step, and the free written plan will say so. Canadian founders building something genuinely new technically may qualify for SR&ED tax credits or NRC IRAP support; speak to an IRAP advisor before work starts, and confirm eligibility with NRC or your accountant.
Fixed prices in Canadian dollars. The blueprint fee is credited in full when you go ahead with the build.

Prices are in Canadian dollars. After the blueprint the scope and price are fixed, and anything you add is quoted in writing before we build it. See all prices.
A free written plan within 48 hours, then a one-week blueprint ($1,500, credited to the build) that ends in one fixed price and a schedule.
A working link to click every week. Milestone payments, no hourly surprises. Scope changes are priced in writing before we build them.
You own the code and accounts from day one. Optional care plan from $500 a month for hosting, fixes and small changes.
An AI coaching app we took from idea to paid MVP.
Our own live ordering and meal-plan platform for food businesses.
An MVP for a funded founder is typically $25K–$75K CAD over eight to fourteen weeks. The blueprint is $1,500, 100% credited, and ends in a fixed price. If a smaller test makes more sense first, we'll say so.
Eight to fourteen weeks. You get a clickable link in the first couple of weeks and a demo every week after, so you can show investors or early customers something real while it's still being built.
You do, in writing. The code is in your GitHub account, the product runs on accounts in your name and nothing is held back if you stop working with us.
A cofounder takes equity and shares the risk; an agency builds to a spec for a fee. We're the second: you pay a fixed price, keep your equity and receive everything we build. If you want a cofounder, we're the wrong fit.
Yes. We build the real thing, not a demo: accounts, billing, an admin area, tests, and separate staging and production, so version two is an addition rather than a rewrite. We plan hosting and the care plan, from $500 a month, at the same time.
Often, yes. We audit it first, then fix, secure and deploy it for $5K–$20K CAD over two to six weeks, or tell you a rebuild would cost less. Our prototype-to-production page has the details.
Yes. Founders across Canada and the US work with us by video and get the same weekly demo. Prices are quoted in Canadian dollars.
No call needed. You get the approach, a price range and a timeline in writing, free.
