A roadmap bigger than your team
Your engineers are on the core product, and the customer portal, integration or admin tool keeps slipping. A scoped, fixed-price project takes it off their plate without a hiring round.
Markham software and app development
Ojastra does software development for Markham companies, from product teams that need extra hands on a defined project to insurance and finance offices that want their processes off spreadsheets. Each engagement is a fixed price agreed before work begins, and the code ends up in your accounts.
Our founders are senior full-stack engineers, so the people scoping your project can read the code, and Markham is close enough to Toronto for an in-person kickoff.
Fixed price. You own the code. A working demo every week.
Your engineers are on the core product, and the customer portal, integration or admin tool keeps slipping. A scoped, fixed-price project takes it off their plate without a hiring round.
Renewals, client documents and compliance checklists sit in email threads. A tracker with reminders and a client portal keeps things from falling through.
A demo made with AI tools impressed a customer or an investor, then buckled under real traffic. We audit it, fix it, secure it and put it into production.
A vague AI project turns confusion into an expensive invoice. We name the task, price it, and keep a person approving what matters.
The pieces around your core product: billing views, customer dashboards, internal admin panels and onboarding flows.
CRM, billing, support desk and reporting connected so data is entered once and every team sees the same record.
Renewals tracking, document collection, e-signature and client status pages that work alongside your policy and accounting systems.
The first version of a product, built to grow, for funded founders and for internal ventures at established firms.
iPhone and Android apps that sit on top of your current back end instead of replacing it.
Document search, drafting and classification added to your product or back office, with review steps where a mistake would cost money.
Markham is known as one of Canada's main technology hubs, with software and hardware offices clustered around Highway 7, Woodbine and Warden. Many are Canadian arms of larger companies or growing product firms, and their engineers are busy with the core product. We fit in on the projects around it.
The city also has a large cluster of insurance, banking and wealth offices. These teams rarely need a new platform. They need a client portal, a renewals tracker or a reporting link that works with the policy and accounting systems they already have.
Software companies are among the businesses most likely to have work that qualifies for SR&ED, because their problems are often technically new. We keep the engineering records a claim needs, and your accountant decides what qualifies. NRC IRAP may suit smaller firms with a new product, subject to NRC's own assessment.

Yes. We take a defined piece, agree the interfaces with your team, and demo weekly. We don't do open-ended staff augmentation billed by the hour; each project has a fixed price and a written scope.
You do, and the assignment goes in the agreement. The repository and cloud accounts are in your name from the first day, so you can move on from us whenever you like.
Yes. The iPhone and Android versions can share one codebase where that saves money, and a customer-facing app is typically $20K–$60K over six to twelve weeks. Afterwards, a care plan from $500 a month keeps the app hosted, monitored and fixed.
Our consulting is about software: architecture reviews, build-or-buy decisions, integration plans and rescue audits. We don't provide managed IT, help desks or network support.
We build named AI jobs into your product or back office, such as classifying support tickets, searching documents or drafting replies, with a person reviewing wherever a mistake would be costly. We don't sell open-ended AI strategy projects. An automation like that runs two to four weeks at $5K–$12K.
Yes. We review the code, security and hosting, then give you a fixed price to repair and deploy it, typically $5K–$20K over two to six weeks. If a rebuild would cost less than patching, we tell you so in writing.
