Software for trades and home services

An AI receptionist for trades that books the job, then quotes and tracks it

Ojastra builds an AI receptionist for trades and home service businesses: contractors, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, cleaning and renovation companies. Missed calls are answered and booked, quotes come from your own price sheet, and jobs and invoices stay in one place, for a fixed price.

You decide what the system can and can't do, a person takes over when it matters, and you own what we build. There is no monthly reseller retainer.

Fixed price. You own the code. A working demo every week.

What eats a small crew's week

Calls missed while you're on a job

Your hands are in a wall or on a roof, and the next customer calls the next company on the list. Every missed call is a job you never got to quote.

Quotes that take a day

Someone rebuilds the quote from a pricing spreadsheet while the customer waits and rings round. A fast, accurate quote keeps them from going elsewhere.

Software that does most of the job

You pay a monthly fee for a field-service tool and still keep half the business in WhatsApp and Google Calendar.

Retainers for a borrowed tool

Resellers charge a monthly retainer for an off-the-shelf tool with your name on it. We build a fixed-price system on accounts in your name.

What we build for trades and home services

An AI answering service for contractors that books the job

An AI receptionist picks up when you can't, asks the right questions, books into your calendar and texts you a summary. Callers can reach a person whenever they ask, and emergencies go straight to you.

Automated quotes for contractors, from your price sheet

A web form, text or call becomes a draft quote using your own prices, travel and markup rules. You approve it before it goes out.

Job tracking and scheduling

Jobs, crews, customers, photos and notes in one place, with a schedule your team can see on a phone.

Invoicing and accounting sync

Completed jobs turned into invoices and synced with QuickBooks or Xero, so nobody retypes them.

Lead and review follow-up

New inquiries answered within minutes, quotes chased, and past customers asked for a review or a repeat booking.

Customer booking and status pages

Customers request a booking, approve a quote, pay and see when your crew arrives, without phoning.

How it works for a small crew

We start with how a day actually runs: how calls come in, who quotes, what's in the price sheet and where jobs and invoices live today. A one-week blueprint writes that down, along with what the AI receptionist will say, what it won't and when it hands over to a person. The first working piece, such as the call flow, is usually ready in two to four weeks.

Callers don't love bots that go round in circles, so ours is built to be short, ask a few clear questions and offer a person or a callback. Emergencies, such as a burst pipe, can be routed to your phone at once. Phone minutes and AI usage run on accounts in your name, so you see exactly what they cost.

We're based in Toronto, meet GTA businesses in person and work with trades and service companies across Canada by video. Once the first piece is running, the same foundation extends to quoting, job tracking and invoicing.

Questions owners ask us

How much does an AI receptionist for a trades business cost?

A single automation, such as answering and booking calls, is typically $5K–$12K CAD over two to four weeks, with no retainer. The $1,500 blueprint is credited to the build and sets the price. Phone and AI usage are billed to your own accounts.

Will it sound like a robot and annoy my customers?

We design the conversation to be short and clear, and the caller can ask for a person or a callback at any point. We test it on your real calls before it goes live, and if it isn't good enough for your customers, it doesn't go live.

Can it send quotes automatically?

It drafts them from your own price sheet and rules, and you or your estimator approves each one before it's sent. For standard jobs that is a quick check; for unusual ones you adjust the draft.

Does it work with QuickBooks, or my current HVAC software or plumbing software?

We sync with QuickBooks and Xero, and with field-service, scheduling and CRM tools that have an API. If your current tool doesn't, the blueprint says how we'd connect it or whether to replace it.

Do I need job-tracking software built, or will an existing one do?

If an off-the-shelf field-service app covers most of your day, we'll say so and add the call and quote automation around it. We build a custom job tracker when you're paying for a tool that fits only part of the work, typically $12K–$40K CAD over four to ten weeks.

Could a project like this qualify for funding?

Businesses with $1M or more in revenue may be able to finance a project like this through BDC's LIFT program. BDC confirms eligibility, not us, and we can't promise approval.

Do you work outside the Toronto area?

Yes. We meet GTA businesses in person and work with trades companies across Canada by video, with the same weekly demos.
